What We Do

Empowerment Employment Workshops
It is never too early for young people to begin to explore possible career choices. These interactive workshops provide participants with practical information about how to find and keep a job; inspire them to set high standards for themselves in and outside of the workplace; and show them that they have the power to create the lives that they want. Workshops range from 1 hour to up to 1 day in length and are appropriate for youth ages 12 and up.

Fundraising Workshops
We provide training in the areas of fundraising and development to nonprofit professionals with little or no previous experience; especially those working in community-based, grass roots organizations. Our training workshops provide early career fundraisers and those with minimal prior fundraising experience with basic instruction in Grant Writing, Writing Fundraising Letters, and Special Events Planning.  Participants receive valuable information and tips and complete in-class exercises to test theories learned.  They also learn about the “do”s and “don’t”s of fundraising through real-life case studies.   Past participants include staff from the Mattapan Community Health Center, METCO, Pine Street Inn, Boston Public Schools, and Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries. *

Fundraising & Development Assistance
Now, more than ever, nonprofit organizations must be creative and diligent in their efforts to raise and sustain funding.  One mistake commonly made by nonprofit organizations is that they neglect to create a sound plan to guide their fundraising activities.  We can help you raise the money to meet your program and operating expenses using strategies and fundraising vehicles that reflect your organization’s uniqueness.  We can help you:

  • Develop your mission statement, case statement, problem statement and other collateral materials to effectively communicate who you are to funders and the outside world
  • Refine your current fundraising plan to maximize your fundraising success
  • Develop a plan to engage your board, staff, volunteers and other stakeholders in your organization’s fundraising efforts

Meeting Facilitation
Our facilitators can help you conduct small and large-scale meetings that leave participants, inspired, informed and motivated.  We will work with your board, staff and other stakeholders to create a meeting agenda that is tailored to your specific needs.  We will also utilize our vast reservoir of teambuilding exercises and other tools to create a safe and positive environment that maximizes the participation of those in attendance and keeps the group on track.

Strategic Planning & Organizational Development
We can help you create or redefine your short and long term plans for your entire organization or a specific project.  We will work with your staff to create clearly defined goals and objectives that are consistent with your organization’s mission.  Our staff consists of experienced professionals with extensive experience in program design and implementation.  We will provide you with the tools to think about your organization’s future strategically and build consensus in the planning process across all levels of your organization.
